Frejus, first Roman port of the region, is famous for its historical treasures including 29 monuments such as the roman amphitheatre, the theatre, the aqueduct as well as the medieval cathedral and the city walls. Frejus rebuilt its port in 1989 and undertook more recently a vast renovation project of the canal district between the port and the city centre, including Fréjus Casino and a four star hotel.
Fréjus is also known to have on its coast one of the largest most preserved beach of the Riviera.

For golf lovers there are 3 golf courses (Valescure, Cap Esterel and golf d’Esterel) with greens offering fantastic views.

Next to Fréjus, Saint Raphael is also a hot spot of the Riviera. Once a spa resort at the time of the Romans, then partially destroyed during barbarian invasions, Saint Raphael city centre was rebuilt in the 3rd Republic urban style and recovered its long forgotten fame. Like its neighbour Fréjus can provide a very lively nightlife.
Lining the Old Port, cours Jean-Bart and quai Albert-Ier are very lively. Promenade René-Coty and boulevard du Général-de-Gaulle, which are planted with plane trees and palm trees, provide a beautiful view over the sea and the twin rocks known as the «Earth Lion» and the «Sea Lion».

For shopping, the Marine district turned in the 19th century from the sailors district into a very chic sea resort with its casino, beautiful villas, offers the best shopping you can get. The canal of Port Frejus II is a brand new development built as an extension to the existing Frejus marina. There is a promenade planted with mature palm trees on each side that you can take to walk to your favourite restaurant or café on the lively marina warf, just minutes walk away. The 7 km long sandy beach is just a few hundred meters away. It is the largest of the area and the best preserved thanks to the large public nature-park nestled against the beach on all of its length. A vast natural protected area made of lagoons sheltering wild birds also ensures the area stays rather genuine.
