Var - Roquebrune sur Argens
The development is located 2km from the entrance of the village of Roquebrune when coming from the coastline, nearby the Roquebrune Golf Course and less than 6 km from the coastline.
Ideally located between Cannes and Saint Tropez, next to Frejus and Saint Raphael, Roquebrune sur Argens is a beautiful historical little town, right at the beginning of the scenic drive heading south through the splendid massif des Maures. Just 7 km away from the coast, yet with fantastic views and rapid access to large stretches of sandy beaches among the most preserved of the Cote d’Azur. It is a typical yet genuine Provence village with a year round activity.
Nearby, Saint Raphael (16 km) is one of the jewels of the French Riviera. A spa resort at the time of the Romans, partially destroyed during barbarian invasions, Saint Raphael city centre was rebuilt in the 3rd Republic urban style and recovered its long forgotten fame. Like its neighbour Fréjus it can provide a very lively nightlife.
Lining the Old Port, cours Jean-Bart and quai Albert-Ier are very lively. Promenade René-Coty and boulevard du Général-de-Gaulle, which are planted with plane trees and palm trees, provide a beautiful view over the sea and the twin rocks known as the «Earth Lion» and the «Sea Lion».
The old city with narrow streets, the old port, daily open flower and food markets will definitely charm you. For your shopping, the Marine district turned in the 19th century from the sailors district into a very chic sea resort with its casino, beautiful villas, offers the best shopping you can get. The leisure port, Santa Lucia, is the 3rd largest of the French Mediterranean coast
Next to St Raphael, Frejus, first Roman port of the region, is famous for its historical treasures including 29 monuments such as the roman amphitheatre, the theatre, the aqueduct, the medieval cathedral and the city walls.
For nature lovers, the Esterel or Massif des Maures mountains (both nearby) and the “gorges du Verdon” canyon (90 km) are a must.
